Hi Kathy,

For me heading back to work tomorrow and I have a game plan all in place...
1: like you a good breakfast keeps me from grazing. I have my  oatmeal all ready to cook up first thing in the morning. I will bring it with me to work and have breakfast before starting at 8;30. I have to have my coffee first thing in the morning to wake up and for other reason's if you get my drift....I have a 30 minute ride to work so I'll be ready for food by then.
I plan on a piece of cheese and either an orange or banana for my breaktime...and will have lunch at home, less temptations...
lunch will be Fiber One slice of toast w/ 1/2 c cottage cheese...
and probably a SF jello cup or pudding cup...
Dinner tomorrow will be greek yogurt w/some dry herbs mixed in and I will be dipping veggies and then another piece of fruit.
Snack while watching TV will be a cup of tea and either a snack pack of almonds from TJ's or a protein bar....I will be done eatting by 8pm...bed at 10-11pm....
Oh and my plan is for a 30 minute walk at the mall (too cold for walking outside) and then another 30 minutes on my Wii Fit....

My goal now is to plan the day before what my day will be like so I can make sure to stay on track and have in the ingredients I need for meals...that way I won't graze....

Have a great night kathy....

Hey Laurie,

Has it warmed up any?  It was pretty nice here in the high 30's.  Heat wave for us

Wow, not only am I impressed with your planning but love the way each meal/snack is protein first.  You know you will not be hungry and it has helped me to not reach for the bad stuff the last few days.

Good luck

See ya tomorrow

It was 30 here today but windy so it felt alot colder...I am so ready for spring....lol

I find if I plan a day ahead and have everything in the house I am not so tempted when out in the real world....I share an office with someone who is always eatting, and not good stuff.
SHe is really MO but I would never push my ideas or diet tips unless she asked. She always tells me that she is happy the way she is so I never say anything. I would love it if she didn't bring in junkfood but it's not going to happen so I find that if I plan everything out I'm good. Funny all the food at my day job drives me crazy but my other job at a wonderful Cafe/candy store doesn't tempt me....thank God....
Well I am off to bed back to work after 11 days off...agh!!!!

Hi Everyone~

I have read all of the posts in this thread and I have to say that you all have inspired me to plan my week....usually I plan one day at a time, but lately that hasn't worked....so here goes:

My biggest impediment this week will be finding gym time.  I am going to change my lunch time routine to include the gym instead.  I will eat 30 minutes before while I am in the field working.

1) Gym three days this week.  Two other days I will do Wii fit and a DVR'd exercise program in the morning.

2) Setting the alarm to ring 30 minutes earlier to get my exercise in

3) Water before anything else to drink- at least 64 ozs

4) Pack my lunch from home instead of being held hostage to what is served whereever I am working (actually, I already did this) Turkey dip (ground turkey, vegetarian refried beans, some cheddar cheese and some salsa) packed my yogurt and apple

5) Planned my snack of nuts with 1/2 apple (already set aside to discourage grazing on those blasted go*d*ish)

6) Logging exercise and food intake in my personal journal-checking in on emotions during the day

7) I have a business meeting tomorrow night so dinner is already prepped and ready to go....no mindless carb eating at the meeting

8) checking into different podcasts for my ipod.  Since I am not really sure where to look, I will surf.  So if any of you have some suggestions, please post....I want something a little different than just music.

9) Vitamins daily....I think it was Cathy who said that "they can't be absorbed sitting in the medicine cabinet".  Amen to that!!!

10) Check in here each day to see what has been posted, any new suggestions and of course, my accountability to each of you.

Have a great evening, everyone!  Here's to tomorrow and BOTT!!

I dont go back to work til Tuesday, and I have been off since the 23rd, so it will be interesting to say the least.
I am really good at writing down what I eat, my vitamins and my water, so I will focus on these things

MY PLAN
1. on work days take my 2 snacks and my lunch to work. Stay away from any junk still lingering around.

2. on my off days M, W, Th, I am going to the gym at work for at least 1 hr per day.

3. the days I work, use my lunch break to walk around the halls of the hospital, and eat my lunch while "working".  I should be able to do this.

4. STOP hunting for crap in the kitchen at night.

The biggest demon and problem for me is the snack machine at work.  If I don't carry any change I can't ht the machine and since I hate to borrow money  that should keep me honest.  Think I'll make up some deviled eggs to carry as an extra Protein Snack.
