BOTT - What have you noticed?

My decision to get BOT happened just before joining the group (Christmas Day), so I’m so grateful that this group was created at this time to help offer support and accountability.

Since getting BOT, I’ve noticed that I’m just as committed to getting back to basics as I was right after the surgery. It seems that somewhere around month 9 or so, I got comfortable with the change too much, and started following my own plan that I thought would work. And while I continued to lose and have now been at the same weight for 2 months, I know following the plan closer to what my surgeon and nut recommend is more beneficial.

So, 2 weeks later, although I haven’t noticed any physical changes, I can say mentally I’m changing and seeing things clearer.

Just getting back to walking  has  boosted my engry level and made me feel so much better I think I am down 2 or 3 lbs but feeling so much better again. Why do we do that to ourselves when we know we have got to exercise how good it makes us feel for the whole day .

So proud of all of you

I feel less sluggish and less controlled by food.  I had a hot fudge sundae on Sunday.  Like I said, I'm taking small steps.  Before, I would have bought a carton of Hagendaaz and eaten the whole thing.  After I ate the sundae, I really wanted to go buy a carton of ice cream and eat it, too.  Those bad carbs are wicked.  However, I did not get more ice cream because I didn't want my kids to see an adult eat that much ice cream in one day.   Before, I would not have cared whether they saw me or not.  I would have eaten it.

I really want to cut out the sugar, but I haven't committed to it yet.  I do know, I'm going to cut out ice cream for now.  It's a trigger food for me and Sunday really proved that for me.
