Back On Track Together
Feeling so good about myself, you with me?
I can't tell you how good I feel about getting Back On Track and everyone here. I have just a slight headache today compared to the last 2 days. Boy I really must have trashed the body. Here are some of the things I have been able to feel good about these last few days....
1.) Making wonderful new friends here in the BOTT group. And knowing I won't be alone during the Good, Bad and the Ugly
2.) Drinking all my water (this is a big challenge for me)
3.) Eating more protein and making sure protein is what I eat first
4.) Not drinking during meals (another big challenge for me)
As Cathy said, baby steps...
How are you doing and feeling? Come on in and let's share and inspire each other
Take care,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
I just returned to OH yesterday after a couple of months away. Had surgery 11/26/06. Started at 228. The end of August this year I was 164. Since then I have lost another 14 lbs!! Now at 150lbs!! Never thought I would start losing again after 2 years. My goal is to lose 5 more lbs. According to the charts, I will be at normal BMI at that time.
For me, getting back on track means:
1) Definately protein, protein, protein!
2) Potato chips are evil!!
3) Plan my eating times and have the self control to know I won't starve to death if I wait until then!!
4) Grazing is for cows--not me!!!
To me, the best feeling of all is to go to bed at night and say, "wow, I had a good day!" That doesn't mean I had a perfect day but it does mean, for the most part, I WAS in control and I DID NOT let food have control of me!!
Here's to all of us who vow to get back on track--our foot may slip off occasionally (we may even fall flat on our faces) but the commitment will always be there!!
Have a great evening!!
Robin
We are so happy you are so close to goal Way to go
Back on track can be for anything we find we are not doing anymore. For example a lot of us get lazy with taking vitamins. These are so important. I think we let life start taking over, by letting our basics go by the way side one by one.
We are happy to have you and we are here to help in any way we can.
Take care,
Kathy

1) making sure I get good protein in first and foremost.
2) sharing the fact that I am going through this with others
3)try to make sure I am being a good role model for my BIL who is going to undergo surgery soon.
Today I feel kind of crappy. I grazed on these little cheddar rice cakes. I ate like crap and I have a headache to boot. I like when I am at work and am busy. I did find my sugar dropping to 59 a few nights ago which kind of set me into a bad food mood since I needed to eat when I wasnt hungry to bring it up.I have to see my surgeon on Monday so we will see what he says. The hypoglycemia only happens once or twice a month. I think getting back on track will fix this really.
Thanks for the ear..
Jessi
You are already a winner for just being here and saying enough, I need to do something. You know in the old days we would just put our heads in the sand and go buy larger size pants. Sweatpants!.
Try eating protein through out the day and that will help with the low blood sugars and help with the urges to nibble on bad things. I had the same thing and this really helped....
We are so happy you are here!!!
Take care,
Kathy

I'm at work today. Won't be posting my daily food/exercise until after 8pm(thats 11pm for those on East Coast time). I did plan my day and already entered it on dailyplate before coming to work. Hopefully there will be no need to make changes...meaning I've stuck to the daily plan.
I set my alarm 30 minutes earlier than usual...to EXERCISE!!!!!! And yes I DID IT!!!!! But plan on a bit more when I get home tonight.
Yes...I am REALLY MOTIVATED...hoping this positive attitude adjustment lasts and just isn't a phase.
