I totally agree with you regarding Starbucks! I love the skinny vanilla latte.  I have to make a  clean break from them because once I have one I crave them!

The biggest problem that I am having is drinking before/after meals.  I have a couple of cups of coffee in the morning.  By the time I realize that I should be eating breakfast (another problem) I have to wait because of all of the coffee.  It is really the most difficult thing to catch.  I am now trying to "hide" my cup or glass while making the meal.
Breakfast is a whole different problem...  As crazy as this may sound, I find that if I skip breakfast, I don't have any desire to snack.  It has been this way for as long as I can remember.  And if I do eat breakfast (because we are suppose to) I am looking for a snack within an hour or so.

hey Deb,

i am the same way with breakfast, and i find that if i eat any type of carbs in the morning i am in the fridge all day long, so i tend to skip the breakfast thing and just have coffee. I have to try and remember to have a mid-morning snack and not skip lunch in the hopes that it will help with my nighttime munchies.

Hi Lori and Deb,

I am a breakfast person, it is my favorite meal...I need my coffee 1st thing in the morning so I have found that if I cook up some eggs (hardboiled) and keep them in the frig, I can grap those to take to work with me, 2 eggs are 14 gr of protein and the milk I have for my coffee gives me 10 gr protein so thats 24 grams before lunch....I will sometimes make a Weight Control oatmeal add some walnuts, pecans or almonds and that gives you a good amount of protein too and that is good carbs too. I aim to get at least 20 grams of protein each meal and my snacks are usually a fruit and protein (cheese most times)...
I do find that if I eat a good protein amount at breakfast that will stop the grazing between meals....

Hope this helps a bit....

Water is my big one. HAte it so never normally get enough in.

Portion size is my other fatal fall. I eat a bit more than I should, because while I normally get my food at the work cafeteria, it doesn't keep well so its either eat it or throw it away. I'm too frugal to throw away food I paid for. Sometimes I split it with my co-worker but others I eat too much and end up with a tummy ache. Course I make good food choices, its not like its pizza. But it still too much food that I risk stretching things out. Then I eat say, the second half a few hours later, rather than having a more healthy, small snack. That's my bad habit.
