Hello everyone,

thank you for letting me be apart of your group! I believe if you have the support and motivation, you will stay on track. I am thankful that i have a wonderful support system.  my husband and family that gives me the most support. i love them dearly. I also run a support group in my area and being on here on a daily, which also helps me so much. When i am down , or not feeling as motivated , my support system ...friends and family help me through it. i love to work out. It gives me the energy that I need.  it also helps me keep a clear mind... i can think better..... working out also gives me a good healthy positive attitude..... so i make sure i get my workout in everyday.... i feel incredible after a good cardio workout. and when i don't work out....... i find myself  ....depressed... and not motivated at all. So i make sure i get up early - first thing in the morning i exercise and get it done. I feel better and my work out is all done early. I don't have to think about it for the rest of the day. I also do some floor exercise later on at night before i go to bed... i strongly feel in keeping a regular daily routine with exercising, is a must. I feel more powerful and stronger.  I believe it is one of the keys to maintaining your weight loss and keeping the weight off. we must keep our bodies in motion!!!  when i do my exercising first thing in the morning.... i am set for the rest of the day. exercising will keep me on track, and the exercising daily make me want to eat healthy foods ... and most of all....what i love is.... then seeing the results in my mirror!!!!!!  that keeps me going which then keeps me very motivated and having a positive attitude ...long term post op.  So on the days when i am not motivated and start to get depress or..... if i ever start to go off track with everything... this board will also help me get back on track..... i need to be here .......thanks again for allowing me to be apart of this wonderful group. it means a lot to me.

Lizzy

Hi Lizzy,

Thanks to YOU for joining our group.  I love your post and the mindset that you have.

Kathy and I have wanted to have a Back On Track group for a long time.  I think whether you "want" to get on track or "stay" on track, doing it together makes it so much better and increases our success substantially.

Welcome to our group.  I look very forward to getting to know you even better!

Happy holidays!  Cathy

Hello Cathy, Kathy & new friends:

I do not want to appear as an imposter or lurker I really need to be a part of the BOTT group. I am tentatively scheduled for a RNY revision on March 3rd. My reason for joining this group is because I need to begin now, changing my mind set and eating habits and, belonging to a 12 Step Program, I know I cannot do this alone. While my husband and friends are supportive most do not understand this disease because they have not lived this life of obesity. I am confident in my surgeon and my hospital but my doubt is between my ears because I find it necessary to have this revision. So I feel I need to be here. Thank you in advance for sharing your experience.

Hi Pat,

Welcome to BOTT!  I hope you'll consider this group as one of your "homes" on OH.

I commend you for your concern and being so proactive before you've had your surgery.  I know for me, as informed as I was in working for a bariatric practice, I took for granted my weight loss success and maintenance for years.  Then, right smack in the face, my life happened and I got way, way off track.   Before you've even had surgery, you're building a strong foundation to stay on track.  To me, that's a huge indicator of long-term success.

I'm glad you're here too.  I hope you post often so we can get to know each other better and walk this BOTT!!

Lizzy,
YOu are such an inspiraton to me.....hence the reason I followed you to this group.  I figured If anyone know's what they are doing and knows what to do to stay on track it is YOU!!

So Thank you for leading me here (even know you had no clue you did :D).  I looked at your profile and found this group on there.

So glad to be back on here and seeing my angel
