Guess I should have told ya how I was doing. I'm pretty much cleared to add foods as I can tolerate. I'm still not very good at eating slow and have suffered the consequences because of it. Find myself going back to "safe" food...like cottage cheese and greek yogurt after those episodes. Chicken and fish go down well and I've even made eggface's egg bites to take to work. Love them!!! Hate that the weight loss of the first weeks has slowed down and I really have to put the work in now. Trying to increase my exercise and have to hide the scale so that I don't step on it every morning....
Have to travel again for work for two weeks this month....Looking forward to seeing how much better I fit in an airline seat, but kinda scared that I will screw this up by not having my kitchen readily available. Made sure to book a hotel with a fridge and microwave, so that will help.
Good luck and happy losing all.

Doing really well...on mushies now for 2 weeks and then I'll transition to real food starting with softer foods and adding new foods slowly. Excited to be cleared for swimming!

Happy to hear it's going good for you. I get my levels checked Friday and I hope they are were they need to be don't want to be put back in the hospital.
I'm two weeks out and have lost 35lbs so I'm really happy about that.
I just can't wait to feel like myself again. I've been having dizzy and wooziness spells and hardly able to get more than 15grams of protein in ( bad I know), but I start pureed Tomorrow so I'm hoping with adding foods I can stomach the protein better.
Well I hope everything keeps going great for you. I hope to hear from you soon and how your doing.

Topic: RE: Wondering if others are feeling same "funnel feeling" when drinking/eating...one week post
Hi Emily:
I'm coming up on four weeks post op and I feel the same way, especially when I try something that I shouldn't, or eat too fast. Feels like a rock just sitting in my stomach. I know that, at times, I've tried to eat something that I shouldn't (like that mini turkey meatball two weeks out). I've thrown up twice when doing this. I tried 2 mini beef meatballs for lunch today, ate them very slowlllllly, and they sat just fine. I couldn't stomach oatmeal for at least two weeks, so just take it slow and if it is bothering you, go back to something more "liquidy" for a bit. Hard to believe my stomach is still healing on the inside when I feel good on the outside, but it is....
Good luck!!!

wow- sorry you had those problems.. hope that is behind you now..
i had mine 8/22 so i am only 2 days postop.. been pretty good so far..
i had a lapband almost 2 yrs ago and had trouble trouble - never could get a good fill, then developed a hernia, so i had the band removed and revised to sleeve and hernia repair all at once.. thought it would be worse pain , i have been lucky.. hope it stays like this.. i am not usually the luciest of persons.. the week before my surgery i had a nasty fall an dhad to get 12 staples in my knee-- ouch.. thought that migh delay my surgery but they said no.. as long as i coul get up and walk around- then i could go ahead with it.. i was ready, so I decided not to postpone.
M y niece had hers about 6-7 months ago so we can compare notes.. she called me on the day of my surgery and told me happy birthday.. that is how she explains what it meant to her--like a rebirth, and the start of the rest of your new life.. love that comparison...
hang in there.. keep in touch... i am ready for the pounds to fall away!!! yeah us!!
