Hello everyone. I finally have a surgery date of Oct 29 with Dr. Nease! I am both excited and nervous of course. I think I am more nervous about the clear-liquid diet 2 days before surgery than the surgery itself...I can't imagine how hard it is going to be! I really don't like chicken broth at all....I was wondering what you all thought about strained hot and sour soup? I like the spicy broth from it. I know it is clear...but do you think that is ok?

Also, I am freaking out about the lovenox shot in the belly.... I can handle getting blood taken...and even getting an IV put in....but the shot is scaring me more than the surgery too! Wonder if they can sedate me and then give me that shot?

My insurance doesn't cover an overnight stay in the hospital...so I will be discharged some time after surgery. Did anyone else go straight home and do ok?

I am sorry you have not gotten a response yet. I do not know the answer to your question. Dr. Nease did do my Realize Band and I had a great recovery. I had a great experience at Cable Huntington Hospital. Clean is definately a word I would use. The staff was wonderful and seemed to be well trained. I am very impressed so far with all the care I have gotten. Please let us know if you have taken any steps toward your revision.

I GOT MY PRE-OP CLASS AND PRE-ADMISSION TESTS DONE TODAY.  I MENTIONED EARLIER OF MY SURGERY DATE -
IF ALL GOES OKAY - I WILL HAVE SURGERY MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd.

I haven't yet, no.  But I've been looking in to it closely lately.  I'm just waiting on one that my Dr. is going to be the speaker of.
