I'm new to the boards as well. I had surgery back on Sept. 3, 2008 and I have lost 34 pounds and about 6 clothing sizes. Feel free to ask questions.

Hi drummer, welcome, I'm still a newbie to but I love reading all I can about wls. Dr Shin is doing mine, oh, I don't know what the surgery wars are bit I get the feeling we'll know when we see them.

To change your email settings click "my account" at the top of the page. It will ask you to log in. When the next page comes up scroll down and on the left part ot the screen is a tab "general information" click that and it will take you where you can change your email.

What surery are you getting? I assume RNY because Dr Stickler does not do bands.
These boards have a lot of information. Do look out when the surgery wars start up. Lots of misinformation comes out then.

Hello all, I am a newbie here. I am having my psych evaluation Dec. 12. Dr. Stickler will submit to insurance following the psych report. Nice to be here. There is a lot of good info.

Wood county, Vienna. Neal school has a dedicated speech therapist, Mrs Hughs. It is also a very good school in general. I am unsure of their special needs program but I have never heard anything bad about the this school. The middle school Jackson is also a good school. The high School is one of the largest in WV and with bigger schools more is offered and more resources are available. Both of my childeren attended these schools. Hope this helps and good luck.

i am originally from wirt county and my mother still lives there. i am planning to move back next summer to wv. i need to find a school distric that has a good special ed program. my kindergartner has mild autism and has significant language delays. we are currently in upstate ny.

I'm not sure if I'd be much of a contributor but I love checking out recipes and trying them out.....I've been working on ways to make chicken and meat as tender as possible since I've been leaning towards the lap, but I have to decide soon, I only have 1 more dietitician appt. then psych eval and surgery, no idea how much time that gives me to decide. I've tried using soy products on other diets and to be honest, yuck, puke, ewww.....Splenda and the pink stuff are the only forms of sugar around here. Honestly I had pretty much accepted that holiday dinners for me this year would be 3 ounces of turkey and a veggie.....if you have some ideas I'd love to look them over
