I haven't been here in a while, so I wanted to come in and give an update.  As of right now, things are going very well.  My surgery has been re-scheduled for this Monday, November 17th.  I'm so worried that something else will go wrong, but so far so good.

I'm not just having the banding done though.  Dr. Nease will also repair a hernia, and a plastic surgeon  will remove some skin on the lower side of my right abdomen.  I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to pain, so that part scares me.  Still, I think these other surgeries will do so much for my self-esteem.

It's good to hear that you are doing well. I would like to point out that you are every bit as enthusiastic as your name! I got a fill in my band last week and my weight loss has slowed a bit but I am still happy. Every time I do laundry, I stare at my 18W jeans and they look so small I am astounded I wear them.

I wondered where you were hiding. Glad to hear all is well so far. Walk all you can, it is good for the soreness.

The first step can sometimes be the hardest. But it may be the best decision of your life. I am only ten days out surgery and I don't regret a thing. My bloodsugar is down and I haven't taken any blood pressure med. for three days and blood pressure is still normal. I wish I had done it sooner so I could have been enjoying my life. Hello     yes  the one I used is Dr. Blaine Nease     he and his staff are very kind patient and knowledgable about the surgeries. he is thru Cabell Huntington  Hosp.     and is on the board of OH.       And the support group meetings are the first Mondays of every month except Jan and  Sept. at the office building where his office is located.
