When was your surgery? Mine was 1/23. I hate missing the groups but since I don't drive its pretty much impossible for me to get to them. My sister will be going before long she had to wait till my surgery was done (chicken) lol. Shes closer to Chas than I am so I would think after she gets going she will be attending more meetings. I've been off the board for awhile now, sorry but it moves a bit slow for me but it is nice to stop in once in awhile and see a familiar face and know things went well.

I'm so sorry your insurance doesn't cover WLS, did the Drs office tell you that or your insurance? I don't mean to be nosey but I know it was hard to get a straight answer from my insurance people BCBs Federal, my dr however knew even better than the nurses in his office I guess where he submits the final papers. I hope it works out for you, Good Luck

I just had surgery at W&C on the 23rd and wasn't put on the bariactric floor since that was a Friday and the floor closes for the weekend. The nurses on the 3rd floor let me know they were kinda clueless which was sad since I knew there was at least one other patient my Dr had on that floor. We did get things figured out when I got a nurse who finally worked on the bariatric floor normally. The nurses were nice on 3 but they made it clear it was more of an over flow floor. I could see it being moved to Memorial and taking the trained nurses with them. It would of been nice to know what was going on, you know the oops no one told you type things. Yes Eggface has wonderful recipes. I used to frequent the main board but I got tired of the hostility and people being means to some people. So I don't visit the main board anymore. It would be great to have this board gets more active. I have been trying all my best to get people to participate. So if you want to share any recipes please do so even if it is eggface's recipes too.
This recipe I posted is actually pouch friendly. I tried it and I was fine and a few friends of mine too.

I am so sorry to hear that your insurance does not cover WLS. I hope the dr's office calls you back soon and offer some type of advice to you.

I am having on and off problems with my DSL. I really dislike Frontier since the issue is ongoning for the past two weeks. I can't wait until Verizon starts offering service in this county.

Hi, girls!! Thanks for the recipe, Cira. That is one I will definitely print off and try.
Well, I had my followup appointment with the psych today. She said I'm "normal" and good to go for the surgery (lap-band) as far as she's concerned. Yea!! I just have to finish out this month at the gym then, hopefully on March 2 will be ready to send paperwork to insurance for final approval. By the way, I spoke with Joy, who was at the gym. She is looking fantastic!! She had RNY on 11/3 and has lost over 50 pounds so far. One final thing ... I checked the support group topics at the Doctor's office today. The March meeting (3/3) will be with Dr. Shin who will answer questions. Enjoy your day!! - Pat
