Congratulations on your surgery date!!! I remember last November when I received my date. I cried like a little baby! I was so scared and nervous and worried for 3 months and then the day of my surgery it was over before I knew it and so many of the things I had been so scared and worried about were nothing at all. I prayed for God's protection and received that and more. I was so sore and I have had alot of nausea but it has been nothing completely unbearable and can't imagine not making this decision for my life.
You will have moments when you think "What have I done?" but they are so soon chased away with the reality that you have saved your life. I am learning that there IS more to live for than food.

Hi!
Fried foods really bother me and red meat, breads and pastas are hard for me to digest. I have never drank alcohol, before or after my surgery, so I can't answer that question. Your stomach is only the size of your index finger, so you can eat very little. You have to take very small bites, chew them really well and take your time. The same goes for drinks. The recovery was about six weeks I think. Good luck!
