Hello Everyone! Im from Clarksburg. I'm 24 years old. I'm 6 months post op, 125 pounds down! Looking to make new friends! Please respond!

HI I'm from Parkersburg area. I went to college a long time ago at West Virginia Wesleyan and have been to Clarksburg many times. My dad was even born there. I am 16 months out and have lost 170lbs. I have been given my life back. AIN'T IT GREAT!!!!

Hello I am from Weston, WV. I am very happy about your progress. I have been looking into surgery myself and I have an appointment Monday, Jan 16 with a surgeon. I would be very interested in keeping in touch with you and may have lots of questions for you and I would like to be a support for you if you need it, because I may need the support in the future if I get approved for surgery also. Again congrats on your progress.

Thats great Peggy!! Where is your appointment at?!? I had mine done in Morgantown, and it was terrific! I'm going to start going to the support group meetings at Ruby next month. Hello Jeanna, I am sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I am going to Dr. Daniel Stickler in Charleston. I was first told after my first appointment that I would have a 6 month waiting period for surgery, with the 6 months waiting I would have to be medically followed with a diet plan from a regular MD, which I went to see Dr. Lauderman at Doctor's Quick Care in Annmore. I have lost 13 lbs so far. I also had a sleep study done and found that I have sleep apnea and have to go on a CPAP machine. So Dr. Sticklers office called this week and said I was approved for surgery and my date is March 21, 2006. So I get my CPAP on Tuesday the 14th, because the surgeon said I had to be on the CPAP for at least a week before surgery. Now that I am scheduled for surgery I am getting nervous. When I saw the surgeon for the first time, he gave me a checklist of things I needed to start doing, such as drinking 64 oz water and no drinking 30 min before a meal and no chewing gum. I have been doing well with this so far. So keep me in your prayers, and if you have any first day post op advise I would appreciate it.

Hi Jeanna, I am from Doddridge Co and work in Clarksburg. I had my surgery 18 mos ago and have lost 140 lbs. I went from a size 24 to size 8! My dr is Dr McNatt at Ruby. I have not made the support group meetings there, it's just not convenient. I would be interested in something in the Clarksburg area, so let me know.
