Hi Everyone, I just moved to Montgomery. I am needing helping in finding a good PCP that understands the Gastric Bypass Surgery. I am also trying to find a local support group in the Montgomery/Charleston area. Big Hugs, Lisa

I can't help with the PCP in the Montgomery area but CAMC in Charleston has a wonderful support that meets every third Tuesday of the month at Women's & Children's hospital board room. Dr. Shin is our surgeon, his office number is 388-4965 or 1-866-788-4965. He is AWESOME!!! and his office staff will assist in any help you need. Our next meeting is August 23rd at 6:00, please join us!!

Welcome to the area! My PCP is great with gastric bypass but she is not in the Chas or Montgomery area. You may contact Dr. Stickler's office in Chas. and maybe they can refer you to someone. Dr. Stickler did my surgery and him and his staff are great!

Hi Lisa, Welcome to our area. We have a strong support group in Charleston. Bariatric Patients of Southern WV. We meet the 2nd Friday of each month at 6:00pm at Medabolix (600 Tracey Way, Charleston) and the 4th Monday of each month at 6:00pm in Dunbar, for what we call "Focus on Fitness" we spend the first 45 minutes on a fitness activity then we talk and share. We'd just love to have you. If you're out and about this weekend, we'll be at Sam's Wholesale Club in Southridge having a hot dog sale to help raise funds for the Disney Marathon we're doing in January.
