Hi, I am from Alabama. I need some help. Someone I love very much is considered having this surgery. I need to know who is good in West Virginia and if any of the surgeons do just gastric bypass. Also, how are the support groups. I need info from around Huntington, Parkersburg or Charleston. In those areas. Thanks, Heather

Heather, Visit the Medabolix website. They are located in Charleston but have support groups in other areas. Dr. Stickler did my surgery 4 years ago and does them laproscopic (in most cases). I have reached goal and am maintaining. We also have an e-group with about 450 members. Medabolix has a very detailed plan with many professionals to help you achieve and maintain your weight loss. Hi Heather, I just wanted to attest to the capabilities and skills of Dr. Stickler. He performed my surgery 3 months ago. His office staff and aftercare program are, in my opinion, second to none. Dr. Stickler is an A+ surgeon but so is Dr. Shin with Charleston Area Medical Center. He did my surgery while he was still with Medabolix. Love both doctors, you won't find better anywhere in my opinion! Stephanie 02/24/04 -112
