I have chosen Dr. D. Blaine Nease as my surgeon. I want to have the DS. I am going to attend a seminar on Jan.6th. I ws just needing some support and just wanted to find out some others that have already had their surgery done by him. I am attending the seminar in Huntington W. V. I am very excited. I have already sent in my packet and talked to Sylvia and I just need a few more documentations on doctor supervised weight loss attempts. I have already called medical records at my hometown hospital and will have the rest of them before I attend the seminar. Any body that would share their experiences with me I would appreciate it. Thanks, and Happy New Year. Judy Morris

Hi Judy, I can't help you out with any experiences as I am pre-op. I live in TN but have sent out my paperwork to Dr. Nease's office. I too have heard great things about him and that he also works on high risk patients, I hope that is true, cuz I am a very high risk person. I will be doing everything down here. I received a letter from a Dr.'s office in Nashville, and they sent me a letter regarding me attending their seminar. I am seeing a nutrionist here in my area, and support group. I have already had the scope down my throat as I do have a hernia, and I'm under mental health care on a monthly basis. Dr. Nease's office agreed to accept any and all paperwork that was done here including the sleep apnea reports because of the distance in traveling. I am from Huntington, parents still live there. So my having to come to WV will be mostly the consult appointment, labs, and date. I do have medicare with Tn Medicade and Medicade will pay 100% what medicare does not since I have to go out of town. Judy if you hear any info from post ops please let me know. Best of luck on your journey to becoming a loser. Kathy

My question is is their any way to find out the success rate of his surgeries, cause I'm also looking into using him, or would like to meet with him. I would like to know how many deaths has he dealt with and what surgeries are most successful.

Hi everyone! If any of you in WV would like to know what it's like to have Dr. Nease do your surgery, please email any of us from his California group. Dr. Nease did my surgery in May 2003 and I have only positive things to say about the surgery itself and the aftercare. We all miss him so much out here and are jealous that y'all have him now! You are very very very lucky! His technical skills as a surgeon are awesome and you will never meet a Dr. who cares and is so "there" for you! Visit his website on Obesityhelp and contact any of us! DO IT! PS - I worked with him for the year he was in SoCal - so I've seen him do the surgeries and have worked with all the patients!
