LapBand So discouraged

i am almost completly defeated in my on-going attempts to get LapBand surgery. I have been trying for 2 years now. PEIA continually sets up roadblocks. They have recently approved a protocol for RNY, as you know, but their site specifically disallows the LapBand. As many state employees there are that need WLS, we need to organize and pressure them to start paying for the Lap Band surgery. Supposedly, INAMED is handling my appeal, but i have nary a peep from Dr. Shin as to the progress of this. It's all taking place in a big black hole. They are making TONS of money off of obese people, and I know they deserve to make a living from what they are doing, but sometimes it seems as though they are figuring every possible angle to take our $$$ (placemats! lunchboxes! mouspads!). Basically I just needed to know if anyone else is going through this rigamarole, and if you are feeling just as frustrated as me? thanks for listening. Insanely Frustrated
