Has anyone had surgery in Charleston?

I would like to find a good Dr. in Charleston and would like to know if anyone had surgery there?

Linda, I had surgery in Charleston with Dr. Stickler. Dr. Shin is also in the practice now and I have met many people through the support group that he has been their Dr. They are both excellent Dr's. Debbie S

I second Debbie's recommendation. There's been about 8 people in our office who have used Dr Stickler and Dr Shinn. Based on their success, I've got my first appt with Dr Stickler 4/6. ---Barb

I have not had the surgery yet, but am going to Dr Stickler. Have have my consultation and dietition apt and have one more to go. I have been very pleased with the staff and the way I was treated. The are prompt with their apointment times and don't try to rush you in and out. So far I can say I am not dissapointed that he is the one I was referred to see and I am over 2 hours away from Charleston.

Linda, I had surgery in Charleston on March 4. If you are planning to have the surgery, Charleston is definitely the place to go. I live 2 hours away and the trip was well worth the effort. One wing in the hospital is set up for bariatric patients. Dr. Shin did my surgery. He is wonderful. The staff at Medabolix is caring and professional. I have no regrets about going to Charlestion.

Hi Linda. I had surgery at Women and Children's with Dr. Shin (Dr. Stickler's partner). I was very happy with both the surgeon and the hospital. Check 'em out.

Linda, I also had surgery in Charleston and Dr. Stickler was my surgeon. I also work at Women and Children's Hospital and we have a wing designated for Bariatric patients. I do not have any regrets about having surgery here or with Dr. Stickler. And it's not just because I work here either. Dr. Stickler's office staff are very helpful and they including the surgeons take their time with each patient. They also have a wonderful program with classes to help you after your surgery. Yes, I had my surgery Feb 19 2004. My doctor is Robert Shin and he is wonderful. He takes his time and answers any questions that you have. He is very straight forward and just tells the truth!!! Linda I live in Welch and I had surgery in Charleston. Dr. Stickler was my surgeon and I would recommend Medibolix without any reservations. Give them a call. You will not be sorry.
