NEED HELP PLEASE, I DON'T WANT TO GIVE UP

I am 28 months post and doing fantastic!!!  I lost a total of 105.5 pounds and I have kept them off and I am maintaining at this point.  I eat everything I ate prior to having surgery just very small portions.  I am healthy and enjoying life with my family.  I have the energy that I didn't have before. I have resolved my diabetes, so no more insulin. I no longer have sleep apnea. My children love me because I can play with them and keep up with them.  Before I could barely play with them I was too tired always in pain and always out of breath.

When ever you have time read my blog from the beginning it has been an interesting ride and my ONLY regret is that I didn't have this surgery years before.   I have monthly pics of my weight loss progress too.

I FEEL great and I am so thankful for all my blessings.

thank you so very much, you are a very caring person, one that I hope not to lose contact with.  I was told today by the staff of Dr. Akkary I could be looking at having surgery the 2 or 3 week of Auguest. :) I am so very happy.  Thanks for you kind words, and your caring spirit.

No need to worry I will definitely stay in touch and be of support.  It is my way of paying it forward since I got nothing but wonderful support from this wonderful site. 

I just wish WV forum was a bit more engaging.  I can never get people to post as much or join my support group. 

I am currently working on getting a support group up for my area. I know you live far but I am also working on doing monthly online support. Like getting a chat room and conducting a round table discussion.  I am a certified OH support group leader now and I working really hard to get it all together.  I will keep you posted and see if you will be interesting in joining.

I am so glad that your dr said you will be having surgery in August. Are they waiting for approval now to give you a date?  Keep me posted!!

I will support you all the way, We do need support groups more in WV, I Know for me I have to travel about 1 hour to Morgantown, to get into one. I would like to see one, come close to Preston County, but until I will keep reading, and supportiving people here. Please keep me posted on online support group. :)

They will be putting it in to the insurance the 1st week of August.

We are thinking they will approve the 1st time. I pray and hope it's in Gods hands when they send it all down to get approved.  I am feeling well, thank you for asking.  My swelling has gone down, a lot I still have some  but getting better with each day. :) it will be gone in a day or so. :)

Hang in there buddy...your day is coming. I could barley walk when I had this surgery. I have had 7 foot and ankle surgeries, 6 of them on one foot. 3 of them in one year...2007. I can walk for miles now.
You do really need to contact your surgeons office. First off... they may want to do something about your water retention. Second...there are pain relievers out there that do not effect your bloods ability to clot, so let them know how much pain you are in, and see what they can do for you. A nurse practitioner is great for a sinus infection or something like that, but for your problems you need to see a doctor, and since you have an upcoming surgery...there is no better place to start then your surgeons office.
