Hello all, I am a newbie here. I am having my psych evaluation Dec. 12. Dr. Stickler will submit to insurance following the psych report.  Nice to be here. There is a lot of good info.

What surery are you getting? I assume RNY because Dr Stickler does not do bands.

These boards have a lot of information. Do look out when the surgery wars start up. Lots of misinformation comes out then.

I'm new to the boards as well. I had surgery back on Sept. 3, 2008 and I have lost 34 pounds and about 6 clothing sizes. Feel free to ask questions.

Hi, I also just recently started checking out this site and have found all people that I have had contact with real nice. Wish you the best of luck with your surgery. I have found more support on this site than I imagined I would.

Hi Drummer,   You have made an excellent choice in surgeons with Dr. Stickler.  He performed my Lap RNY on 7/24/08.  I am very pleased with my results - I have lost 52 pounds, off 3 blood pressure pills, no cholestrol medicines and no metformin for diabetes now.   Dr. Stickler is very kind to answer all your questions and Jeremy is a great dietician.  I return to see Dr. Stickler on 11/10/08, so I am anxious to be updated on my progress.  I wish you great success with your surgery.......... I live in Parkersburg and will be glad to answer any questions, if I can.

Hi All, I am a newbie here too.  I had RNY on Oct. 3.  I've lost 32 pounds so far.  Nice to see so many WV people on here.

Thanks to all of you for your warm welcome. I have been low carb and high protien for over a month now. I have lost 10 lbs. Giving up beer and soda has been hard, as is the comfort foods I grew up with but I am doing this for my health and myself so it is worth it. Thanks again, and good luck to us all.
