info about Dr Nease and staff

Just wondering if anyone could give me some info on Dr Nease and how his staff treats his patients. I live in Virginia and I am thinking of having him do a revision for me if possible. Any info would be helpful.

  Hi   I am a patient of Dr Nease and I wouldnt have a problem with him doing any surgery on me or any of my family.  His staff is excellant. Two of them are former patients of his. They couldnt be more informed on what they are doing. They are more than willing to answer any questions you might have.

I am not having surgery till Wednesday, but have had wonderful a experience so far. I have both called the office and emailed and have had good luck getting my questions answered. He has a great way of explaining things so that you do not feel dumb and feel comfortable asking questions. I will say that their paperwork seems to be more RNY focused and the band stuff is just added in. The staff seems pretty knowledgable of WLS and had been helpful.
I do not know what kind of revision you are looking into but you should book to go to one of his seminars. He is very straight forward and I liked that at his seminar.

I am having lapband surgery on Oct.1. My experience with Dr. Nease and the office staff has been great. They are all nice and whether you talk to them on the phone or email them, they take the time to answer all your questions. Dr. Nease has a wonderful way of explaining everything. I agree with Crystal, most of the information is geared toward gastric bypass with little info on the lapband. I am looking forward to having the surgery,

I would highly recommend Dr. Nease and his staff to anyone interested in WLS of any kind. I have had nothing but good experiences with them and the pre-surgery education is awesome. I went into surgery with full understanding of what was going to happen and how my eating habits would have to be different afterwards. There were no surprises. His staff is always friendly and curteous, more than willing to answer questions. And even willing to joke around a bit once you get to know them. Two of his staff with their firsthand experience, as well as Dr. Nease with his family experience, never make you feel inadequate or that the weight issue is your fault, like some other medical personel I came into contact with previously.

I have been persuing surgery with Dr. Nease and staff since August and they have been nothing but fantastic my whole journey so far. I have one more visit with my PCP and then set to go!! The more I revue about Dr. Nease, the more compitent I find he is. My surgery will probably be in Feb. (I hope). Wish me luck. Frankie
