I Have My Date!

Just wanted to let you know I start my full liquid on Wed 8/27 and my RNY is on 9/10/08.  I also think it would be nice to have a support group close by, I am driving from Parkersburg to have my surgery in Charleston. I am anxious and nervous, but also excited and very ready for this change. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Thats great. I looked into Dr Rossi because he does the sleeve. Hope all goes well. Crystal

Congrats I am still fighting with PCP to  write the paper work up correctly ! I will keep you in my prayers and I am here if you should need anything.. Maybe we can start our own support group in Parkersburg so that we don't have to drive so far..Take care !

What is PCP? I am sorry I do not know the term. that well. But hopefully you can get it straightened out soon. It seems like it is always something.
It would be great if we could get a group started it could help so many. I know of at least one other that will be having the surgery Lap Band in next few months that I wrk with. So that would be wonderful. I will pray for you aproval and hope it comes through soon for you.

PCP is Primary Care Physician.

Support group sounds great.  They do have one at CCMH for laps but it may be open to all surg patients. You can get more info by calling 304-424-2400

Thanks for writing. I am doing OK. I just thought I would start feeling better sooner-it is going slow. I def do not feel like "eating"-protein shakes etc. and really have to force my water down, with an added popsicle. I just expected maybe alittle bit better progress from release date. But my drain and pain have left me very worn down and hurting. But I see doc on Fri.-so maybe it will get better. To change the subject you have a VERY beautiful and cute baby, I am sure she brings you immense joy and happiness. I would imagine you would almost cry to watch her sleep.She is probably a little angel. My "baby" just turned 13 yrs old in July-is 2 inches taller than me (5'9") and is wearing size 13 wide men shoes.  He is to be about 6' *' when done growing!!! WOWSo treasure them all you can. I have to look up to him to talk. lol
