Protein.. Please help.. I'm new at this..

I am trying to find some protein  powders that don't gag me lol.. I've tried the Whey Protein but I just don't like it.. I am looking for something flavored.. I love chocolate and flavors like that.. I always love fruit flavors.. Where can I get some samples to try? Any ideas? I'm having Lap Band surgery at the end of the year and I am now in my medical weight loss journey.. Hi Staci, Dr Wheeler is my Doc as well. I really like him and his staff is great, you may call Angie or which ever Nut. you saw and ask them if they have any samples. You can buy samples at www.bariatriceating.com , you may also ask the Nut. about KDMC's medical supply place, it is down where the old Bluegrass drive -in use to be, they may have samples.  I use the Isopure chocolate. It costs more than a lot of the others but it has vitamins as well. The cheapest place to buy it is on ebay. They sell it a GNC in the Huntington mall, you may even call them and see if they have samples.  I don't know if you have heard about the conference or what ever they call it at Greenbo Lake on the 23rd of this month. I would bet any thing that someone will be there with samples. It costs $20 to register, the way I understand it most of the happenings will be Friday evening and then some kind of follow up and closing Saturday. I am pre op and everyone here in VA uses Unjury. You can get it on line. I am from WV so I visit this site to check out how it is going there! I have not tried this myself, but am told it has a very good taste. They have samples you can buy so you don't end up with a lot of stuff you won't use. I hope this helps.

I highly recommend the www.bariactriceating.com website!  It's where I get 98% of my protein!  I'm hooked on the RTD Extreme Smooties in Chocolate Dream flavor.  Yummmmmmmmmmmmm!  I also like the New Whey Protein bullets and mix them with water and Crystal light.  Someone mentioned Unjury and I know a lot of people use it, but mostly I hear it has a horrible taste. Good luck finding what you like.  Bariatric Eating website has a 'sample' pack you can order to test a lot of different kinds and flavors.

I have tried Isopure - gag!, GNC - works in a pinch, EAS - can't get past the vitamin smell and taste, and Smartforme - this is by far my favorite. I get the ready to drink in mocha and vanilla. Goes down easy, not chalky or "unmixed feeling" Order from their website at www.smartforme.com They have a lot of protein stuff as you get further past your surgery. Good luck!
