Gastric Sleeve

At that time I was very sick, over 500 pounds, had a colostomy and many health complications.  He had tried to do a gastric bypass, but was unsuccessful.  I had a hernia the size of a basketball and my stomach was inside of it.  He couldn't get to my stomach.  If we didn't do something, I was going to die.  It was worth taking the chance.  I think Dr. Stickler is an excellent doctor and I didn't feel like he would try something he didn't think he could do.  He reversed the colostomy, repaired the hernia and did the vertical sleeve.  I've lost over 300 pounds.  It was worth the risk.  It saved my life.  Thanks for your interest!

Thank YOU!  That is a powerful testimony, not only of the skill with which Dr. Stickler performed your surgery but of your own courage to make the decision to take seriously your condition.  Although I don't know you I want to tell you how happy I am to know of your success, congratulations. I wish you health, happiness and continued success.  God bless.

Laura,

Can you tell me what the complications were for you and was the weight loss at the same rate as the RNY? Thanks

Debra P.
