cost of lapband

Does anyone know what the cost of labpand is? My friends insurance does not cover this procedure, but she has been approved for a loan. She is probably going to have to goto Mexico. Just wondering what the difference in price here is. I know they usually charge less when it is self pay instead of with insurance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I went to a seminar in December and that question was asked. I believe the answer was between $19,000. to $20,000. HTH!

Hi Sherry I am Kathy from Mullens and I know where union is. What my husband and i have found on the internet about the cost of lapband. I found a place in Ohio that their listed cash price was 19;900.00 which I thought was a complete rip off.{just my opinion}. We see alot of post of people going to Dr Aceves in Mexicali Mexico. His price is 9800.00 i think. I am sceduled for bypass in Bogota, Colombia 3/1/07 if not for that i would probsbly go to Dr Aceves for that prcedure, they are our second choice and maybe our first if we don't hear something soon from bogota. My insurance doesn't pay either so I was going to Mexico also.I call Dr.Collena's office and they said hospital $9200.00 Docter $2300.00 Anas. $920.00 So going to Pa because if You have problems you would have to go back to Mexico, With flight its going to coast more. Laureen
