The journey takes a detour

Hi all, Good to see things picking up around here. I have just come to my first bump in the road. My Surgeon ordered a Stress test for me before surgery because I had smoked for 30 years. I figured, No big deal. Well the experience of the test alone was not pleasant, but I find our yesterday that it was abnormal. It showed a possible blockage or narrowing of an artery. There are a large number of false results in these test with women who have large breast. I now have to go see a Cardiologist in Morgantown on Tuesday. I'm praying for the test to be wrong. I'll post when I know something. Michelle

Hi Michelle, The same thing happened to me, they found an abnormallity and had to have the heart cath. Ended up being nothing to it. The doc said it was in the thickest part of the heart and the stress test is very just not that accurate. The only way to tell for sure was the heart cath. Mine came out fine. I was a bit concerned though till it was all over. Try not to let it worry you, may not be anything. pan head

Thanks Brenda, I'll keep you posted. They just called to reschedule the appt. Moved it from Tuesday to Wednesday. It may be better traveling weather by Wednesday anyway. Michelle
