WV Medicaid is NOT covering Lap Band

I went through the entire preop process only to find out Wednesday that WV Medicaid does not cover Lap Band and it never did. My doctor's office called the Bureau of Medical Services and spoke to Dr. Sandra Joseph, the doctor that runs the show for Medicaid. It will only cover RNY in extreme situations. You've gotta be diabetic and in a wheelchair and a bunch of other criteria.
