Topic: RE: Husband and Wife having WLS

My husband had his in Oct of last year, mine was May of this year. Same surgeon, same procedure. Two different hospitals though.

HW333--SW 289--GW of 160 5' 11" woman.  I only know the way I know & when you ask for input/advice, you'll get the way I've been successful through my surgeon & nutritionist. Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Yes, my husband was 7 months before mine and I am glad he was first, as it made him truly understand what I just went through. The doctor told us he would lose more and faster, so I was mentally prepped for that. Plus, I get the benefit of the new and even sexier version of him!

He weighs weekly and tells me every week. I am still daily and tell him daily. It is encouraging for us to share our progress!!

Topic: RE: Any positive stories about WLS inhancing a marriage
My husband is 8 months post op **** lbs) and I find him even more attractive. He has been very vocal about how positive my changes are (56 lbs total since Jan) and we feel closer having this shared success in our marriage.

Topic: RE: hubby slipping
I think its not helpful to be the food police! I think you should bring his attention to it! Perhaps suggest that if he is interested he might want to consider some therapy ....

But if you try to control it..it will get worse for both of you!!!

You can only control yourself! If you have issues with tit for tat with him...you need to find a way to work on that so you don't fall into that pit fall!!

Being the wife is sometimes difficult..we often feel like we succeed and fail as a unit rather then as an individual...but with WLS..its completely individual!!

Good luck!!
