So I am going to have VSG WLS, don't know a date. And I am doing this because I am sad I can't do all the things I want to do with my four year old. But I'm also so scared I'm gonna leave her. She's my life.

This is exactly my issue!

In July 2012, I adopted three children from fostercare. My hope is that the surgery will help me be healthy enough to be a great mom to them!    I'm so afraid something is going to go wrong during surgery or post-op that the surgery that is supposed to save my life and quality of life will kill me leaving them without a mom.

(I also have two grown children and three foster children under age 4).

I have just tried so much that I think I should try this.  My friend had surgery and she is much healthier, happier, thinner!  She can be a better mom to her five (also adopted from fostercare).  The insurance I had when she had hers didn't cover the surgery.  Now our insurance does AND I set up an HSA so I could do it.  I really want what my friend finally got.  After 20 years of being overweight, I really want to LIVE....for myself and all my children.
