Yes, I had my surgery 10 days ago. It's going pretty well so far, but I am looking forward to advancing to the pureed food stage this Friday, because I'm a little tired of the same old same old :)
I have actually told a fair number of people about my surgery, but not everyone. I kind of have taken the attitude that I would take insulin if I had diabetes, so why wouldn't I do this to combat obesity? Also, I've come to realize that I don't care as much about what people think as I thought. With age comes not giving a @#$&!

I'm going to be 10 years out and I still graze all day long. I try to stick to Protein and very low "bad" carbs. It works for me. If I get hungry then that's when I make bad decisions.

Well I'm guessing you have had your surgery by now...CONGRATS!
I'm going to be 10 years out in a couple of weeks. There have been a lot of posters over the years who never told anyone but immediate family even after they had WLS.

Hi JB! Though I'd stop in for a visit to see if any of the regulars were around. Congrats on your 10th Surgiversary!! I'm going to have my 10th in a couple of weeks.

Hi Roz, It's nice to see you and celebrate your success. It's been nine years since surgery for me, so I rarely stop in. Maybe once a year. But when I do it's nice to see a friendly face and a poster that I know.
Thanks for asking! Things have gone pretty well mostly, except I seem to have a pull/strain in my right abdominal wall. I talked to nurse this morning who advised ice, Tylenol, and an abdominal binder. I'm a pretty active person, so this is a bit frustrating. Getting fluids/shakes/vitamins/yogurt etc in each day, and it's getting a bit easier every day.
