Hi guys,
I had a great Veterans Day weekend. I visited my parents and participated in a Veterans Day recognition at their retirement complex. There were 3 pages of veterans on the program including WWII veterans of the US Armed Forces and Merchant Marines. We had Canadians and British vets as well. Very moving.

Your Menu sounds Delish! Cold weather has arrived in PA and I've been craving chili but the spices mess with me.

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Hoping everyone had a nice weekend. 2 of our DGD's came on Thursday and spent the weekend. They only live about 40 minutes away but we don't see them very often. With my daughter being divorced from their dad they usually stay with him on opposite weekends. I had to beg and remind for this weekend to happen.

At first I didn't have a great experience with one of the coordinators but as I've worked with ALO they have been super nice and helpful in handling the situation. Thank you to the staff who has been emailing me since my last post. Everything has been resolved.

Congrats on your success so far!

sounds like you are doing the right things.

For me it really makes a difference when I am weighing and measuring and limiting my carbs to less than 50 grams a day. And I journal all my food and snacks

welcome to the lightweights!

Good morning! I'm new to this forum. I had vsg 1 year ago today. I had surgery, in Mexico, with Dr Alvarez and I couldn't be happier. I left northern California at #208.5. Day of surgery I was #204.5. My BMI was 38. Today, 1 year later, I am #160 with A BMI of 29.5. I am 5'2. That means I've lost #48 and 60% of my body weight. My goal is to be #130 or less. But I haven't lost one pound in six months. I eat very little and I am not sure how little I can actually eat. I have keto coffee at 7 am and then eat a lunch at 11 am. Usually, 4-6 ounces. I drink coffee and Crystal light 60+ ounces a day. I snack a few times, usually low carb, but not always. Cheese stick or something similar in size. And dinner a small portion of whatever I have fixed for my family. Again 4-6 ounces. No carb count on this. I do eat a snack after dinner but again small in size. Any suggestions?

Way to go on losing that 20 pounds! I am about the same stats as you, minus the .5 My current weight is 140. I remember when I first started losing I wanted to hit 140 so bad, then I told myself 120. Lol. I think if you know where you want to be then go for it. You may find you want to adjust once you are there whether that is less or more. Now that I am sitting at 40, after having been 128 (for a day but it counts, haha) I know that my ultimate goal is still 120.

I am with you on needing to track. When I track I do so much better. I think you will be okay maintaining. For me it is accidental. I bounce within the same 5-8 pounds weekly, that part is a bit of a struggle.

Anyways, way to go on kicking that regain weights' butt!

Topic: RE: At how many months did your weightloss stop?

My lowest weight was 8 pounds away from my own personal goal which is 120 pounds. That took me about 16 months. But since then I have bounced from 132- 140 pounds. With this year being the hardest. I don't think I am plateauing per say, but more likely I have put myself into maintenance. I also exercise quite frequently so though my scale doesn't change often, my clothing still fits pretty good and I am sometimes able to fit into smaller sizes.

You are still pretty early out. I think you will be okay, just keep on keeping on. Sometimes you will have months with crazy big loses and other months you will be lucky to get a pound. In the end it usually evens all out. Congrats on your progress so far!!

I'm not sure where Roz is the last couple of days, so I thought I'd fire this up.

A little chilly here in southwestern Ontario, made getting up for the gym a little tough. I did my 5 kms though so that's good. Not much on the go this weekend.

Post Op RNY 19 mos tomorrow

B - 3 bacon/tomato lettuce boats, with light mayo

S - skyr with blueberries

L - 2 pieces "fried" chicken

S - deli turkey, old cheddar slice, mustard

D - sesame chicken

Have a great day!

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!
