Sorry I've been missing!! After my hubby's sisters funeral last week my brother-in-law collapsed and was unresponsive. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and has pulled through but it was a stressful few days. Last week I had to miss work and I finally got caught up this afternoon. Tomorrow should be better.

Breakfast: 2 handfuls of Honey Nut Cheerios

Snack: Couple slices of an apple

Lunch: Beef Jerky

Nice to see you posting again. If I remembering right you are a gentleman...is that right? If I'm wrong I apologize.

I'm definitely not anorexic. Height makes a big difference too. I'm only 4'11" tall so I have to watch what I eat because even a 5 lb gain is noticeable on my petite frame.

You are right about the carbs and it depends what kind of carbs you are talking about also. I can pretty much eat nuts every day (most times several times), cheese, high fiber like Honey Nut Cheerios (right out of the box) but if I eat even a little potatoes, bread, rice, etc the scales are up the next morning.

Good day everyone! Can't wait for Christmas holidays, this coming to work every day sucks! Hit the gym first thing, back in the groove. I tend not to go on the weekends and since I was off last Thursday and Friday I didn't go then either.

Had colonoscopy last Friday and I'm clear now for four more years. YAY! That was my third year in a row so I'm glad to get a reprieve for a few years.

My Trucker came home yesterday morning so things are back to normal. Now to get the eating back to routine as well.

B - 1 egg, 1/4 cup egg whites, slice of cheese

S - greek yogurt

L - beer can chicken, tomato/cuke salad with greek dressing

S - deli turkey, mustard, cheese slice

D - grilled chicken, broccoli salad

Total Cal 838, Protein 105, Carbs 37

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

She was released from the hospital last Thursday evening. She's got a long road ahead of her but hopefully she'll make a full recovery.

You had the DS, which makes your post-op life different from most of the rest of us because you will always have malabsorption. 400g of carbs is a ridiculous amount. The SAD diet would generally include 200-250 carbs per day. I'm in maintenance and I eat 60-90g/day, most of those coming from dairy and nuts honestly. I don't eat grains or potatoes.

Some of us maintain on a tiny little amount of food. I am lucky, that I can maintain around 2,000 calories/day with moderate exercise. Others can maintain on 1,000 calories per day, it just depends on their metabolisms.

Topic: RE: At how many months did your weightloss stop?

Your story mirrors what I've been going through. Surgeons goal was 160 (25 BMI). I blew by that and hit my goal (145) without issue. I increased calories and dropped now to 130. I'm a 20 BMI now and my husband has finally said "Ok, enough. Stop losing". So I'm working on staying here for now.
