I haven't had surgery yet and doing all the pre-op requirements now.
I've been following your daily menu posts to get ideas.
My clinic stresses no snacks between meals after surgery even after you reach goal weight.
Did you add small snacks when you reached goal?
Thanks

Hang in there Roz!! Things will get better, but not by eating!
I woke up this morning to the alarm which almost never happens, I'm usually up before it and ready for the gym. BUT yesterday I did my FULL weight routine (first time in a while) and my muscles are feeling it today. So today is a rest day, my Trucker is happy because he always is telling me I don't have to go to the gym everyday.....well YES, I do!! LOL
Was out after work last night so today is a log as I go kind of day. In my "tickle trunk" I have HB eggs, yogurt, jello, protein hot chocolate, chicken breast, chili, and a burger. Lots to choose from.
The struggle today will be to stay out of the damn chocolates and cookies that keep arriving in our office! December, you will not defeat me!!
Have a great day everybody.
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
9 + Years!!
Things are stressful in our household right now and I'm trying really hard not to stress eat!

Good afternoon Gang!
I didn't sleep worth a darn last night, I'm lucky if I got 3 hours. UGH. But up and at em to the gym this morning, no point lying in bed if you're not sleeping. Did some cardio and took the time to get some strength training in.
Today is a higher calorie day. I don't even have my dinner logged and I'm at 1000+ calories. I'm going out for dinner with a friend, so I scoped the menu and it looks like steak will be my best choice. What a tragedy right!!
19+ mos Post-op RNY
B1 - 1/2 premier protein shake, 1/2 banana (see separate post about this)
B2 - 2 egg, egg salad
S - greek yogurt
L - chicken Caesar salad (contributing to the higher calories, and I use low cal dressing)
S - cucumber/tomato salad, 1 pepperette
D - TBD
I may not get all this food in as I have a meeting from 9 - 11, so time will tell.
Have a great day everyone.
