Topic: RE: I need help! Advice Please!!

My personal experience was not that I couldn't take it off, I couldn't KEEP it off.

I think this tool really helps with that. I am more and more grateful each day that I had WLS (RNY) and highly recommend it.

Beautiful sunny day here but very cold.

Already got my gym time in so I'm feeling accomplished :)

Adding some carbs today via thin crackers, last time I had a bit of carbs like that it helped end a stall, hoping it does the same today.

B- Chocolate/peanut butter protein powder with unsweetened almond milk

S- Havarti, pickles and super thin cracker thingys I got at Costco

L- leftover chicken

S- 2 almond date rolls from Farm Boy - THESE TASTE LIKE DATE SQUARES (but they are made from only dates and almonds)

D- homemade pizza night. (crust tonight is a recipe made from ground turkey and parmesan cheese)

S- Lite & Fit yogurt.

Topic: RE: I hope you are still taking your Vitamins and Supplements!!!

Thanks for responding!! Just finding out the culprit is probably my low B-12 I feel a lot better.

My PCP said I was in a good range so I just thought I was losing my mind (memory). Now that I know the normal range for someone without WLS might be good with those numbers I can't compare myself to them.

My DH is kind of driving me crazy asking me if I'm taking my vitamins....lol.

Welcome to our LW Board!!!! We have had some successful women posters who have had the VSG. All of our men posters seem to loose faster than the women and they keep it off longer.

I was 55 when I had my RNY and not active at all. I sat on the sidelines for everything. I've never had a single regret (well maybe the first week) after my RNY. I'm 9+ years out now and still a normal BMI and under my original goal weight. I'm a tiny thing (described by others) at only 4'11". Before WLS it didn't matter how little I ate I couldn't keep the weight off.

Being over 6' tall I would think this would be a good choice for you if you can't keep it off on your own. At the age of 40 you will be far more active and you are way to young not to be happy with your body.

Only you can make this decision for yourself. Good Luck and keep us updated!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Morning LW's!!!! We are going to Granddaughte's 7th Birthday Party this evening. I can't wait to have all 3 of our daughters in the same room at the same time!!!
