Sorry about your friends families. They do say deaths come in 3's. It's strange how it works out most of the time.
I make pasta at least once a week and I still can't judge how much to make. Sometimes that's all I can get the Grandkids to eat when we have them. I never let the boxes run out. I might have a couple of bites but it's rare for me to eat more than that.
I didn't eat much yesterday. Felt Yucky all day.

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Happy Friday Afternoon LW's!!! My boss wanted Wendy's for lunch and I was soooo tempted to get a bowl of Chili but I fought the urge and settled for KFC. My bladder is going to be soooo happy today!! I've been pain free for quite awhile now.... I even gave my KFC chocolate chip cookie away! Making Good choices for lunch usually helps me make good choices the rest of the day.

Thanks everyone. I spent the last couple of weeks helping DH get ready to pass a skating test so we can compete together and learn ice dancing. He passed, now we need to not trip over each other when we skate.
Welcome aboard!
Wishing you good luck on all those tests. I think I had just about every key comorbidity prior to surgery but only a starting BMI of 36.8. Surgery was approved in 3 days.

I haven't cooked pasta in 7 years since I had surgery but needed to send food to a family and I made too much and couldn't just throw it out.

Welcome
I had over 100lbs and a high enough BMI that it wasn't a problem but I agree with Roz, these Drs are great about knowing what will and won't be approved. Congrats on the weight you have lost already.
Looking forward to following your progress. Let us know how you progress.

I had a bumper crop of pimentos in the garden this year but they are kind of a pain. You have to roast the pimentos to almost brown then let them cool. then you skin them. You end up with very little after all that. Anyway, remove seeds, cut it up and add grated cheese and mayo. Or you can buy jars of pimentos or roasted peppers and use them. Pretty easy that way and so much better than store bought.

Ok. I will start drinking my shakes again. And definitely no bad carbs. yea I did stop exercising. I see that you have gained any weight back. Are you at your goal weight? or lighter? by the way you look great. Thanks for responding.
Hello Erin! Congrats on pursuing WLS and Welcome to our LW Board!!!!! It's the BEST Decision I've ever made for myself!!
I think I was at 40/41 but it's been too long to remember. Your Surgeon must think you will qualify or he/she wouldn't be putting you through the tests.
Keep us Updated!!!
