Welcome to our LW Board!!!  It took me 9 months to get to my personal goal of 125.  I was happy there so I increased my Protein drinks hoping not to gain any back.  I continued losing for another 6 months dropping down to 108.  My family kept telling me I was way to thin and I got scared.  Against all of the advice I got from our "oldies" not to start maintenance early I didn't listen.  Bounce Back is for real!!!!!  The scales started moving in the wrong direction as soon as I added some calories in.  I creeped up to the 118-120 range where I have settled for the last 6 years.

I hope you haven't started Maintenance yet.  You need to let your body go as low as it wants to because bounce back is real!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!!  It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

My stats are in my signature - if you include pre-op, it took me 10 months to get from 219 to 125 (4 months pre-op - 36% of weight; 6 months post-op for the remaining 64%).

Just curious to see how long it took some of you light-weighters to meet goal? I have lost 58.4 pounds in about 4-1/2 months, and have about 40 pounds to lose to be at goal.

Thanks for the welcome back.  I have a whole bunch of faith and a big dose of reality.

I know this will not be easy... but it will be doable.

Back to basics... and by exercise... I really just mean back to walking which I would be doing for the rest of my life.

I work at a desk all day so I don't get in the movement needed to keep me nimble.  Also it makes me feel really good both physically and mentally to do that 1.5 most days.
