WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!!  It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Afternoon LW's!!!  It's finally Friday!!!   Swamped at work with all of the state changes.  70 degrees today and anticipating 4 inches of snow when we wake up on Sunday.  Our first All-Star Cheer competition is tomorrow....YEAH!!!

Update.  Had my cardiac cath this morning. My arteries are squeaky clean. No blockages nor do I need a stent. Looks like I'm clear for my RNY. One more cardiac post of visit to check my groin area.  Was put in a twilight sleep and just felt a pinch when given the numbing shot in groin area. Doing the happy dance area. I'm still sore and will return to work Monday. BF is caring for me now. One more Doctor and NUT visit next month.

What kind of surgery did you originally have? You might want to go to that board. I'm pretty new, but I've seen good advice for other people that have gained some of their weight back.

Topic: Has anyone in here seen someone a couple years out finally lose the weight?

I had vsg in 2013 and I am currently only 9 lbs under where I was the day of surgery. I am getting strict on the carbs and protein and working on taking in more water. What I want to know is whether or not it's possible to lose the weight doing post surgery eating plan several years out from surgery or am I still going to need a second surgery? My only concern about a second surgery is that I will have problems with my meds because of the bypass. I know either way I will be able to get my eating habits back on track I just want to know if it's too late for me? I have three months and 21 lbs before I can have surgery any way but do I really need it? What do you guys think?
