I'm really liking the thin sliced almonds. They're roasted/toasted so they're crunchy and not overly filling.

That's the hard part. You just don't know until you get the nasty stuff ripped up. Just remember to keep hydrated. It's easy to get so wrapped up in what you're doing that you forget to take care of yourself. Happened to me once or twice.

Oh and btw, nuts are super calorie dense and make a great energy pick up when you're working hard! After the first week I bought a big variety and kept them in the little cooler we brought to the house with our bottled water.

My surgeon and nutritionist tell me nausea is my new hunger. It sneaks up on me when I go too long without eating. If I don't eat often enough I get too nauseous to eat. It's awful.

I'm super excited for you!!!!! Don't feel bad about the food funerals! Most of us probably went through that. After your surgery those feelings will go away.

They never gave Don a neck brace and I thought that might help. He's only driven a few times. Usually our DD drives him where ever he needs to go.

Just came from the Surgeons office. They are going to run a nerve test now to see if something is blocked. He said he might have to go under the knife again but it won't be as bad as last time. They are going to give him some anti inflammatories.

Your Nursing Home friends might be very happy right now!! My Mom is in a nursing home and sometimes it bums me out seeing the life she has to live now.

The same to you and your Beautiful Wife!!

That's so impressive!!!!

I have a friend *****cently purchased a very damaged property. I will likely be helping him do a lot of those same things! His house had five feet of water sitting in the lower level for a week or so and the previous owner had stripped it to the studs below the flood line. It's hard to tell if the sub-floor is badly warped, or if the joists need to be replaced, I'm guessing it's a little of both!

I'm impressed you got this work done together, I bet you were burning a TON of calories every day!

Topic: RE: My 600 lb life -

thanks Jeff!

Yes, absolutely I am in control of what I put into my mouth. And I put too many calories into my mouth or I wouldn't be MO like I am right now!

I was wrong to say my husband was sabotaging me. He really just wanted to see me indulge in something he KNOWS I really enjoy. In his mind, this ONE time won't hurt, and he can't see that every day ends up being a cheat day. On a very bad day, he might WANT me to cheat so he didn't feel some sort of guilt about his own choices (he is also overweight), but not in a cruel or even in a conscious way.

I was posting about "My 600-lb Life" on the Lightweights forum because I think that those of us who are closer to being overweight that we are to being EO have a lot of push-back about not being "fat enough" for WLS because often times the general public associates WLS with Extremely Obese persons not with those closer to the 'Obese' or the lower end of 'Morbidly Obese'.

thanks
