Hello, I go to see the surgeon on 5/01/17...My preference is the sleeve. My question concerns my blood sugar. I'm asking all those that could help me with this question. " Could I get my B/S back in control with the sleeve? I've heard definitely yes with RNY, but what about the sleeve? I've had the band before but it's been out for over two years now. I'm 5'3" and weigh 220. I'm starting the liquid diet in 4 weeks and this is a question that I will also ask my surgeon. Have anyone here have success with this issue?
Trying to get a few pounds off before my 1 year mark on May 16. I'd like to reach 115 lbs. We'll see, my body seems to like 119-120.

I'm a classic lightweight. I'm 4'11" and started out at just over 35 bmi. I had about 75 lbs to lose, and expect to settle in around 110-115 lbs when I reach maintenance.
Also -- my RNY surgery was May 16, 2016! Good date there. :)

"Light weight" is a term reserved for those with a BMI of less than 40. We typically have less weight to lose than others and therefore don't always lose as fast as others.
Please explain :)
I was called a "light weight" on another board....first time for everything. Definitely don't feel like one :)
RNY Surgery is May 16, 2017
