I'm glad they figured it out!!

I had mine in my early 30's and I haven't had any problems at all. No meds at all. No hormone problems either. Awesome not having a monthly!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Afternoon LW's!!!! I didn't post the whole time I was on vacation which led to me not being accountable to any one and gaining 3 pounds!! I was a secret eater before WLS and that's a place I never want to return to again. I need this site....I need you!!!! I can't be successful on my own!!!

Topic: RE: Did you worry?

One of the biggest mistakes I made was starting maintenance too soon. Every one convinced me I was getting too thin and then I started worrying. I added in more calories to slow down the losing stage and I really regret it!!!!

The 12-15 pound bounce back is not a rumor it is a real thing!!!! If you decide to start increasing your calories don't do it with carbs. The one thing you don't want to do is get hooked on "bad" carbs again. I've known so many posters that started gaining weight back and couldn't stop. WLS is not a cure all!!!!!! It is a tool that you have to use the rest of your life!!!

I've missed you all!!!!! Vacation was wonderful!!! It was hard to come back to cool weather and wearing long pants and a sweater. What a bummer!! Our teams did great! Our granddaughters team came in 2nd in the nation!!!! It was pretty awesome watching her perform on that big stage under all of the lights!!! We wondered how she would do but it didn't seem to bother her at all. My scales are up about 3 pounds so it's back to Protein for me. Our cupboards are bare and I have to get groceries after work. I'm not sure what I'm eating today.

I was under 130 lbs at my 6 month mark. Knowing I'd like to settle in around 120, I did some mild transitioning. I added more variety to my diet, but I didn't go crazy. I wouldn't call it maintenance, but I did increase my calories up quite a bit. It felt natural to me, so I think as long as your doctor considers you healthy and you feel good where you are, do what feels right for you.
