Staying on track while traveling
Good morning, All!
So I'm finally looking forward to my trip home to Hawaii in a couple of weeks. Been 27 years since I have been back. But I'm also wanting to stay on task with losing the regain as much as possible. I was thinking about carrying my protein in Ziploc baggies and bringing them with me. Any other ideas on staying on track?

Hope you have an amazing trip!
When I went to see my son, I packed almonds, protein bars, peanuts and my protein powder. Drink lots of water too!
Stay protein first, that always fills me up! Made eating meals out so much easier! substitue veggies for fries or starchy sides.

What brand protein bars would you suggest? I'm going to have to refrain from the almonds and peanuts, unfortunately. My daughter is high allergic. So much so that the smell of either causes her throat to itch. Mind you, I love peanuts and almonds... :(

Have a Wonderful time!! DD (darling daughter) cheered at the Hula Bowl once. It was such a long time but sooooo worth it! Do you still have family their?
Jerky is always my go to on trips. I'd be careful of all of the fresh fruit and try to base everything you eat on Protein. We fly quite often and I always put my ziploc bag of protein in my carry on (they always pull me aside and check it. Almost every time I put food in my luggage they seem to open it to see what's inside. The dogs must smell it.
My niece has always been allergic to nuts but she just got cleared to have them. Apparently she out grew her allergy. She just turned 11.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

Hey Roz! Yes, I still have family and close friends there. I once cheered during the Aloha Bowl half-time show while I was in high school... many years ago now. Many happy memories!
Fruits tend to be my downfall - especially mango. Not too much of a fan of pineapple but do love fresh coconut. Hubby suggested ordering the smaller containers of my protein to carry with us. The hope is maybe that will help. I'm sure in your case the dogs smelled the food. I guess after this long you just make the time for the inspection.
My baby girl isn't expected to outgrow her allergies as she's almost 18 years old. I really wish she would have been able to. The worry is always a concern.
NOTE TO SELF: Protein! Protein! Protein!
