WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Morning LW's!!!! Did you notice the website changed? This morning when I responded I could see the post I was responding too which was nice. I broke down and bought some Matrix Protein. The price increase is a killer but I can't imagine life without it!! All-Star Health gave me a $5.00 discount for spending over a certain amount. With the price of Protein now that wasn't hard to do.
Grandson has a basketball game this afternoon and then we are going to our Daughters new all-star cheer gym. They are almost ready to open!!! The Cheer season doesn't start until May so they are offering tumbling packages now. DH and I are so excited for them!!!!

So, I've given up on my daily Bites & Vites thread on the DS board. I'll be joining you though, so don't stop posting.
Today was my oldest's 35th birthday. His restaurant of choice is one of those Brazilian all-the-meat-you-can-eat places. Chip off the old block...loves his protein. lol
Oh, and I've taken my vitamins today too. Never stop taking vitamins.

I've always wanted to try one of those Brazilian restaurants, how was it?

I think I only ate about as much as a 5 year old but the meat was awesome! The flank steak and Parmesan chicken were incredibly tender and juicy. Oh, and I had a small bowl of the lobster bisque, which was very nice. You should try it but be ready for sticker shock; expensive.

Does it make you sad to give up your daily Bites? I have mixed feelings about giving up M&M. I'm so afraid I will screw up if I don't post.
I'm pretty sure we don't have any Brazilian restaurants in our little town. I love Protein too but I can't eat very much of it at a time.
I've taken my vitamins every day since my Dr. Appt. Do you think I could be noticing a change already? I feel like my memory is a little better or maybe I'm trying harder.
The meat choices sound delish!!

Yes, a little sad to give it up. It surprises me more people don't use our posts to stay on track. Maybe it shouldn't. {sigh}
I think some vitamins can have an immediate impact especially if you're low and you're bringing something back up quickly. I know vitamin D works that way for me. Iron oral supplements, not so much. I haven't let B12 drop, so no experience with that one since I initially was bringing it up in 2007. I think with B12 injections, it's entirely possible.

I need to be accountable to someone and I realized that it can't be my family. I hope you don't stop posting but I do realize that it can be depressing at times when no one responds. The LW Board was so busy when I started 9 years ago. I valued all of the information I got from you and all of the other posters. I truly believe I wouldn't have been successful without all of you!!!!!
