WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Afternoon LW's!!! My scales are looking WONDERFUL!!!!! We still haven't had the roast I keep posting....hopefully tonight.....lol. Last night DH fussed for McDonalds and I came home and made salad. First day of school for the grandkids. 6 down and 2 to go!

Afternoon! I have had a couple of sad days, our Fire Chief passed away on Monday afternoon during a battle with cancer. He was only 56 years old and was due to retire in January. He was my coach/mentor for my C25K program. He was such a phenomenal man, kind and always full of encouragement. The community has lost a great Chief.
Today is my Thursday. Off on Friday this week for an extended weekend. We will be going camping. Regular routine today, gym this morning, walk at lunch.

Sorry for the lose of your friend. Cancer is a horrible thing. My Dad passed away from it when he was 46. That's how old one our son-in-laws are and we think of him as a kid.
Menu sounds delish!

Love the variety!!
I don't think I could pass up fresh corn on the cob..... (me gobbling it off of the ear..lol) We've had it about 4 times so far this summer (grandkids love it). The neighbors is just ready to be picked so we will probably have it a few more times. Love when it comes from the stock and straight to the corn pot.

I'm still so early on in this process that I find I am not (usually) tempted by bread. I'm sure that will get more and more difficult as the years move on, but with the steady loss happening now its easy to stay focused and on track
