3 months out, 30 pounds down, feeling like a failure

Also, you are AMAZING at walking the walk. I use your experience/advice ALL THE TIME when I'm justifying what looks like too little calories to friends and family. I'm like "dude, I'm not even CLOSE to what most successful losers advise, I should be eating no more than 600 calories per day and always getting in my protein. I'm not even close!"

Protein and water (and vitamins) are the most important!

I'm buying 2 lb bags of cooked shrimp and I'm thawing 4 oz at a time for morning and evening (post work out) protein in an effort to rely less on protein drinks and powders. I'm starting to drink a decaf coffee blend since that seems easier to get down in the morning, and I'm using those MiO flavor drops to make it easier to drink water. I find the flavored water WAY too sweet, and plain water just doesn't get consumed.

30lbs down is great! This is not a race, it isn't how fast you lose it is that you lose. Take a look at my ticker. 10lbs a month sounds bang on to me for 3 months post op. You will lose at the rate your body will let you.

Liquids are hugely important to weight loss. I don't work out and I get in 100oz of water a day and 100oz of protein a day as well. You want to lose imo those are more critcal than exercise.

Thanks for the good reminders abou****er and protein. And I love the details in your ticker! I did find out that I've dropped some more inches when I tried on some smaller clothes that were too small last weekend, and they were too big this weekend :) I'd purchased a bunch of business basics in smaller sizes prior to surgery so I wouldn't be caught with nothing to wear to the office. The sizes were 16s, 14s, 12s, and 10s with the usual cross over where some 14s were fitting while some 16s where too small etc... Yesterday I tried on a pair of 16s that had been too tight around the thighs last weekend and this weekend they were ridiculously baggy at the waist, to the point that a belt just made it look messy, and the thighs were fine. Another pair of dress slacks that didn't have a size in them but had been way to tight last week, fit pretty good, a little tight around the thighs but already baggy at the waist.

Also, my "breasts" which are transplanted fat from my belly have all but disappeared. The post mastectomy reconstruction framework the surgeons built in, using fun things like cadaver tissue re-positioned muscles are still there so there is some shape, but they look like someone let all the air out! Kinda funny actually!

Even when I was a skinny mini I had C cups, I'm a little fascinated by the tiny bumps on my chest wall! I think post mastectomy I had bumps larger than this because of a combination of swelling and the framework they implanted in the same surgery. When I had the mastectomy the inserted inflatable packs to stretch out my peck muscles, and using the cadaver tissue were able to partially inflate them prior to my even waking up. Then when I had the implants removed (my body decided to calcify around them making my implants look like a cubist designed them!) I woke up with my belly fat inserted so again, always have had SOMETHING like breasts... Now I have these little sad flappy things!

After I reach my goal weight I'm going to consult with a PS about it. Wouldn't it be nice if they could stuff them with some of this excess skin? HA!

I think I'm ok on volume. I just need a lift. I've already had a breast reduction (when I was 16) and I'm a 32 ddd or e cup now. So I figure if I lose a cup size of skin I can afford to .
