Post Op RNY 11+ mos
Hello Lightweights! Roz, is there a time you typically post by? I keep checking and seeing nothing thought I'd get this started.
Not much on the go today. Off to the gym after work and then home to chill. I was so tired last night, went to bed at 9. Not sure if had anything to do with the 7 vials of blood they took from me yesterday or my two workouts, but man I was zonked!
Today's plan:
B - 1 egg, 1 slice cheese
S - skyr yogurt and blueberries
L - 4 oz chicken with sautéed veg
S - 4 slices deli turkey
D - hamburger patty with tomato and pickle, mustard, relish
Totals - Cal 877, carbs 26, protein 94
It's almost the weekend folks, have a great Thursday!
I post whenever I get all my morning work caught up and usually during my lunch.
Breakfast:
Protein: Matrix Mint Cookie 35g
Snack: Nuts and berries
Lunch: Beef Barley Soup
Snack: Nature Valley Almond Crunch Bar
Protein: Matrix Mint Cookie 35g
Dinner: Maybe a Fish Sandwich (minus bread) from Arby's

Slow day here, I'm actually taking a day off. I'm not doing anything I don't have to do. One of the grandsons is celebrating his 7th birthday today. That means i don't have to cook tonight. I'm mostly just focused on protein right now, so tonight should be easy.
Coffee with cream
Breakfast: Steel cut oats with protein powder (30g)
Snack: More coffee with cream
Lunch: Ravioli stuffing with protein powder (30g) blended in. Weird, but oddly tasty.
Snack: Cheese stick
Dinner: Unsure. Probably a frozen protein shake. (30g)
Extra Protein: Maybe a greek yogurt.
I'm not feeling especially hungry today. I've had lots of liquid today, plus some mushy stuff. Lunch was a blend of ground beef, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, pasta sauce and a scoop of protein powder. I know it sounds gross, but it tasted good. LOL, plus the baby liked it, bonus!

I'm still at it on day 5 and feel much better about myself. My bad habits were making me feel very negative about myself. Still having some problems eating and I'm sure it has to do with all the Ibuprofen I took. Won't do that again.
I have some pain between my throat and my waist right in the middle. I'm thinking that area is really irritated so I'm focusing on soft foods that go down smoothly.
So glad tomorrow is Friday. I have a quilt project to finish Saturday. Saturday evening I'm visiting my BFF who is working 2 jobs. She said we could order a pizza and visit but I told her I'm bringing dinner since I'm not eating pizza and I'm on my bariatric plan. I'm taking soup and a low carb pumpkin tart.
I just placed an order with Amazon for Bariatric iron, calcium chews and Quest protein powder.
Today:
Pro coffee (20g)
Oatmeal - low sugar & doesn't upset my tummy
Kellogg protein bar (8g)
Homemade Quiche
Deli turkey; cottage cheese
Definitely need more protein.

I ended up leaving work early yesterday to take a friend to her dissolution and then for recovery adult beverages, and then to the airport.
Lets see...
Day started with missed breakfast and then a very late lunch...
Mussels in tomato sauce (so good)
Raw (fresh) oysters (healthy and good!)
Crusty bread to dip into the yummy tomato broth... yeah that was a bad idea...
Peach Sangria (also, not a smart food choice but they were half price!!!)
Long Island Iced tea. oops.
Then when I finally got to my "home" (husband lives there still, I'm staying in an apt) I made Deviled Eggs with eggs so fresh they were a bear to peel, and chicken and dumplings. We had about eight people over last night and just enough food.
I also had a ChillWave IPA.
So Thursday was really my "horrible example" day.
Five days till surgery.
