WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!!  It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them! LW's!!! 

 

Afternoon LW's!!!!  Update on me.  My scales were down a couple of pounds this morning.  I swore when I had my WLS I was never going to diet again and so far I've stuck to it. I don't think increasing my Protein and watching my carbs is dieting when I consider that "Normal" for me.  If I was cutting back to carrots and the number of meals I eat then I would feel like I was dieting. Finished up wrapping presents last night....YEAH.  Gave up counting after 130.  Hit a deer with my new van....  Probably won't get it fixed until after the holidays.  There's to much to do and I don't want to be carless and I hate driving a rental. 

Maintenance:  8+ years out 

Breakfast: None

Protein:    Matrix Mint Cookie 35g

Snack:      None

Lunch:      Chicken wings

Protein:    Matrix Mint Cookie 35g

Snack:     Nuts and Cheese

Snack:     Nature Valley Nut bar

Dinner:    Steak

Snack:     Plain Popcorn

Hi guys,
I had a great morning. Our team from work got to fly in a helicopter up the Potomac River this morning. Cold, but great views of the monuments and memorials.

MENU: (DS Maintenance Mode)
Pre-B - 2 protein coffees (60g), bullet proof with coconut oil
B - Greek yogurt w/blueberries
S - 
L - leftover pork ribs, green beans and a few fries
S - fresh salsa and Scoops
D - steak and salad
S - CarbSmart ice cream

VITES:
morning batch: done
calcium batches: 
iron: stopped
evening batch: starting
heme iron: pending

MILES:
none

My surgery is tomorrow morning...YAY Im so excited.  I've been reading peoples daily menus for some time now and was wondering how do you make protein coffee?

Congratulations! :D

Protein coffee directions:

Brew a pot of your favorite coffee (decaf or reduced caffeine) 
In a 20oz Blender Bottle with wire ball, add 6oz of Lactaid milk, a scoop of Syntrax Nectar Vanilla protein powder, and a dash of cinnamon. 
Shake gently for 5 seconds or less.
Either pour the protein slurry into a large mug and top off with hot coffee OR pour hot coffee on top of the slurry in the Blender Bottle.
Stir to blend OR gently tilt the Blender Bottle to blend. **don't shake the Blender Bottle with a hot liquid inside**

Always add hot liquid on top of the cool protein slurry to keep it from clumping.

Once you're further out you can switch to regular milk, or skim milk, but at first you may be lactose sensitive.
