WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Morning LW's!!!  If we have any Dad's and Pappy's out there HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!  In my families eyes my DH has won the Award for Best Dad and Pappy Ever!

For now, my focus is on  protein, so my menu is mostly meat in small amounts. I'm at 81g of protein today, but not quite ready to go back to drinking protein shakes. I'm hoping at some point I can eat adult sized portions of food again, but not yet.

Breakfast - turkey sausage (out of eggs!- grr)

Snack - sliced ham / braunshweiger --- Nope, something got stuck and came back up :(

Lunch - clear liquid

Snack - clear liquid

Dinner - clear liquid

Edited, I think I tried sausage too soon. Learning experience! -sigh-

"adult sized portions" makes me wonder.  When I see what other adults eat, it is still way more than I eat, even at 6 yrs out.  And I don't think many of us understand what a real portion is.  At some point you will be able to eat 3-4 oz dense protein and maybe 1/2 cup of a side dish.  If that is what you think is an "adult sized portion", great.  If you want more than that, maybe not.  But I know I needed WLS because I was eating way more than I needed to.

Right now I'm eating about 1 oz at a time. I'm amazed that I can eat 2 oz of yogurt! LOL, I eat less than my 7 month old grandson.

I can't imagine 3-4 oz yet.

Oh, I agree about other adults, the amount of food my husband eats in one meal is mind-blowing to me. I never noticed until recently, wow.

So sorry but most of us have had that very unpleasant experience.  Get some papaya enzymes from Wally World to keep on hand.  It is very helpful when you eat something that doesn't sit well, too big a piece of something, whatever.  I had to use it several times over the years and am out but sure mean to buy some more.  You would think that once with that would be plenty to learn the lesson, but no.
