WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

8 oz milk with some syntrax flavor (tbd)

Dinner will be something mostly meat

Grouchy pouch today. Ugh.

When your pouch is grouchy, you may want to just drop back to liquids for a day or so.  I know it is nice to have a little more variety but you have the rest of your life for food.  Some folks have problems with bean products (hummus) and milk.  Just a thought.

I have had a lot of trouble with Milk since my WLS.  Do you think that could be causing your groucy pouch?  How much Protein are you putting in your milk?  What total does your Surgeon recommend with the VSG?  I had to get at least 100 grams of Whey Protein a day.

evening batch: started
heme iron: pending

MILES:
In a class all week but having to walk to and from the subway.

Roz, I think you skipped a week.....LOL

DH is still in the hospital and I'm still sticking with my food plan.  Today, they got him up and his BP dropped drastically.  He had the same problem when he had knee replacement surgery and it took 2 weeks to get him on the right track with meds. 

I used to love Fage with blackberries so that's what I had for breakfast, but it just doesn't taste like I remembered.  My tastes keep changing. 

Scale shows 3.4 lbs. down.  Of course, I've lost those lbs. several times.

B - Fage with blackberries & walnut

S - Click shake (19 g)

L - Deli chicken & ham with cheese sticks

S - Iced coffee protein drink

D - Cheeseburger with half a bun (hospital cafeteria....not very good)

S - 1/2 cup cereal w/milk - supposed to help with sleep

hahaha....you are right!  I'm probably dreaming about a few days off over the 4th.   I recently tried the Lemon Tea that I drank every day and wondered what in the world I was thinking!!!  I have to put sweetener in FAGE.  It give me terrible heartburn. 

Hope your DH starts feeling better!!!
