Miles and Menus June 4, 2016
I think I bruised my pouch last night. I was hungry and the guys were gone so I cooked kale and baked chicken thighs. Because I was hungry, I think I didn't cook the kale long enough then I proceeded to eat too much. I thought I might die. Never threw up but sure felt like I could. Still very tender today. Sticking to mostly liquids.
decaf protein coffee 33g
eggbeaters, cheese
lemon tea protein 13g
butternut squash/sausage soup
Caribbean cooler protein 13g
more soup
maybe some baked chicken thigh, maybe not
protein shake or hot chocolate 33g

I hope your pouch feels better!
Still much of the same menu for me. Mostly liquids. Today I'll have 3 protein shakes and I'll try to fit in a tablespoon of puréed chicken. Probably just protein shakes and tons of water, since I just can't seem to drink enough water since surgery. Probably chocolate truffle, fuzzy navel and chicken soup. Puréed foods sit just fine when I eat, but I just can't convince my pouch that it's important. I'm trying.

Remember your protein drinks count at liquid and as protein. Twice the bang for the buck.
You have the rest of your life to eat. Do what works best for you. I loved it when I couldn't care less if I ate or didn't. Unfortunately, it doesn't last, lol.

Yep. They told me that. I normally get about 90-100g protein each day, almost exclusively whey protein isolate. I get a little from puree if I eat it. And on top of that I drink about 70oz of ice water daily.
Sooo... When can i expect a desire to eat again??? Lol.

I think I was about 3 months out before I cared if i ate or not. I don't think I was hungry then just felt empty. I remember food smelling good but not really caring about eating at all. Weird for sure

Haven't tried the Oreo Thins and I don't really like plain oreos but the double stuff mint or strawberry call my name if the are in the cabinet.
