WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

I know some of our LW's have served out Great Country and my Family soooo Appreciates it!!  We all have family and friends who have also sacrificed their lives, time, and families to protect us...I Pray for them all to receive many Blessings!

Sitting here on this Beautiful Memorial Day watching the prettiest little yellow bird I've ever seen and enjoying my morning Protein Drink.  The weekend was busy with our family but today is a day for relaxing and enjoying some quiet time with my Hubby.

It feels like a setback, but I know it's normal. I've been much more active for the last two days, and today I'm paying for it. The pain I'm feeling today is as bad as it was on day 3. Ugh. I'm just powering through it and staying up and on my feet as much as I can stand it. I'll never get my life back if I just lay around whining about pains

Thinking I'll try the soup again today, pouch doesn't seem too grouchy today. Normal liquid menu, 3 meals broken up into 6 servings.

  • 1 premier protein-chocolate.
  • 8oz Fairlife 2% milk with 1 scoop chocolate truffle and 2 tbsp peanut butter.
  • 8oz red pepper tomato soup with 1 scoop Isopure unflavored.

Actually just try listening to your body. When you are tired , rest. There's only set backs when you push yourself.

You are still early out.  Rest, sip, walk, repeat.  It took me a full 6 weeks before I was feeling pretty normal again.  Part of that was getting my D3 up, part was just recovery from surgery.  Plus I was 62 and that didn't help.  But you will feel better, promise.  Just take it easy when you need to.

I was glad to see all the attention paid to servicemen and women this Memorial weekend.  There was a big celebration in Kansas City that was televised.  Great program.

I worked for the temp service Thursday and Friday and will work tomorrow.  I've worked for this client several times, but I'm not enjoying it any more.  Think it's time for me to fully retire.  I'm enjoying my time at home and working on quilts for hours.  Lots of sewing going on this weekend.

Today, I grilled burgers and dogs.  I wrapped my burger in lettuce and no bun for the hot dog.  Buns just seem to clog on the way down plus I don't want all those carbs.  I'm really working on eating slower.  I read recently that people who eat fast can consume 50% more food that a person that eats slowly.-

B - protein shake

L - protein bar

D - cheeseburger; hot dog; deviled eggs

S - peanuts

S - Pumpkin pie (recipe from OH)  delicious
