WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Surgery was very successful. Until about 10p, that is. Apparently I'm one of the 2% that can't handle narcotic pain reliever. And the anti nausea meds they gave me actually made me vomit. Once last night and once today.
They changed my drugs around and now I'm actually wake and alert.
Since getting right, I've walked around the nurses station 8 laps. So far , I've had ice chips. I tried to sip the blue Powerade, but instantly my stomach cramped like a Charlie horse. The all came back up.
The rest of my day is Breakfast Lunch, Dinner ice chips.

Everything is really swollen on the inside. Be patient with yourself and keep after those ice chips.

Today's eating was much better. Over the weekend I ate way too much junk and the scale showed it this morning. I'm having problems getting my protein in so I think I'll add protein to my coffee then have a shake later. I need to order some protein powder. I haven't found any locally I like.
This evening I could see I am eating way too fast. DH had tilapia, baked potato and salad. I had tilapia, cauliflower and salad and I finished way before he did.
I did ride the stationary bike for 20 minutes. I got the app for My Fitness but don't understand how it works so I'm going back to Sparkpeople.com. I already have my favorites and some recipes on that site.
